ON MYSTERY: Considering spacetime and beyond

In studying space and time it is most fascinating to learn that we hardly understand what these terms truly encompass. Mysteries surrounding the origins of our universe—quantum mechanics, black holes, dark matter and dark energy—remain among the greatest unknowns in human history. Modern physics has expanded our view of reality but the further we see, the less we appear to "know". This fuels a never ending intellectual curiosity.

The mysteries of our universe are my greatest source of inspiration and creative energy. I am interested in topics of the unseen and unknown, while considering space, time, light and gravity. These thoughts always lead me to wonder...what else may be found that we are not able to see?

In this space I find form.

ARTIST BIO

Amanda Jean (Aj) is a Chicago based interdisciplinary artist exploring the intersection of physics, metaphysics, and symbolic systems. Her work investigates space, time, light, and gravity as both scientific constructs and lived experience.

Drawing from cosmology, theoretical physics, and esoteric traditions, she considers how human understanding moves between measurable structure and mystery. Concepts guide medium, materializing questions of perception, consciousness, and the unseen forces that shape reality.
